Exhibition

An artist's website is their permanent exhibition.
Appesa designs, builds and maintains artist websites. We organise works, exhibitions, texts, press and biography into one clear online record, then keep it accurate as the practice evolves.
For painters, sculptors, photographers, illustrators, designers, filmmakers and builders — any practice that needs a permanent home.

Theo Apteker · Personal portfolio · 2026
A digital home for
a builder in motion.
Theo builds software, physical products and new businesses. Appesa gathered his growing body of work into one clear website. We keep it easy to extend as he ships new work.

Instagram is a feed. An exhibition closes. An art fair moves on. Your website is the one place that permanently belongs to you.

Quietly kept current
Artists make
the work.
A living practice should never sit inside a neglected website. Send Appesa one note; we make sure the record stays accurate, complete, and beautifully presented.
We look after the rest.

The website is visible.
The value runs deeper.
The visible product is a custom website. The enduring value is clarity, continuity, and confidence at every important encounter.
Presentation
A restrained digital environment shaped around the work—not around a template.
The design disappears. The work becomes memorable.Discoverability
Current work, biography, exhibitions, press, publications, and contact details—clear in a single place.
One link, ready at the important moment.Continuity
Exhibitions, acquisitions, new works, and reviews are kept current as the practice moves.
No stale pages. No lost opportunities.Archive
Every meaningful record is organised into a coherent history that grows more valuable over time.
A career documented, not merely displayed.
When the important person looks you up—
One link.
Everything is there.

A continuing relationship
Built once.
Looked after always.
Appesa is not a website-only service. Ongoing care is part of the promise from the beginning.
- 01
Understand the practice
We learn the work, edit the structure, and identify what the archive needs to hold now and later.
- 02
Create the permanent home
We design and build a singular, responsive website, then organise and migrate the existing record.
- 03
Keep it alive
You send new work, dates, or links. We publish, maintain, host, secure, and refine everything.
- 04
Grow with the career
As the practice expands, the archive and its digital infrastructure expand with it.
The website is how we begin the relationship, not the whole relationship.

Your work changes.
Its home should keep pace.
We are taking on three founding artists. Each project is led personally by Appesa's founder, Theo Apteker, at a founding rate that is held for as long as we look after your site.
In return we ask for two things once the site is live: permission to publish the project as a case study, and a few honest words about the experience. The founding agreement
- Three places, then the founding terms close
- A founding fee of €3,600 + VAT — the standard fee is €4,500
- Every step worked on directly with the founder
- In return: a public case study and a testimonial
Every relationship includes
- Custom website and art direction
- Archive structure and migration
- Hosting, maintenance, and ongoing updates
- 90 days of care included, then €195 + VAT a month
A quiet conversation first. No prepared brief required.
